Find the Best Gas Prices Near You with GasBuddy
Gas prices have finally started to drop, but Californians are still paying the highest prices in the nation. With Fullerton prices hovering between $5.00 to $6.00 a gallon, we can all use a little help at the pump right now!
To help you save money, we wanted to share a handy tool: Geico’s GasBuddy app.
WHAT IS GASBUDDY?
GasBuddy serves millions of users, making it one of the most popular ways to search real-time gas prices in a given location. There are roughly 150,000 searchable gas stations across the nation, so it’s great for when you’re traveling out of town, too! The app is available for Apple devices and Android , or you can use it directly from your browser . Although the mobile apps want you to sign up for an account, it’s not necessary—just hit skip up at the top right-hand corner if you’d like to bypass creating a login.
After you’ve selected your location and fuel type, GasBuddy will show you a list of nearby gas stations and their fuel prices. These can also be sorted by the lowest to highest prices and distance from your location. GasBuddy also has the option of filtering by payment types or cash prices, which are often less than paying with a credit or debit card. The gas prices come from other users or the gas station’s owners, so if you see a really good price that’s not on the app (or the wrong price is listed), you can report it on the app.
